Sowerby Bridge, Calderdale gets new Playground
Play & Leisure are pleased to announce the opening of a new play area in Sowerby Bridge, Calderdale. Alan Park was an overgrown area that used to have old and unused play equipment so our brief was to provide a new exciting play area for children of all ages and abilities.
After public consultation, work commenced in September 2007 in two phases and officially opened on the 14th December 2007 by a local Sowerby Bridge Councillor.
The play area consisted of a Freddy Fish Springer and Swings for the toddlers together with a Roundabout and interactive Play Panels. A Fairfield junior multi unit and the ever-popular Cantilever Basket Swing were provided for older children. All equipment was installed into brightly coloured wetpour.

After completion, Mr Chris Holroyd, Playground Manager at Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council said, " I was surprised at the amount of equipment provided with Play & Leisure's usual high standards of quality within the allocated budget. Having seen the area initially, I had not imagined that such a facility could be provided in such a small area of overgrown land".
Play & Leisure has a dedicated team who plan and design the allocated area with play equipment maximising play value for the most competitive prices. We pride ourselves in offering top quality equipment at reasonable prices endeavouring to maintain our excellent customer relations and level of service.
